The TSL Marketing team has been attending the HubSpot Inbound Conference for over a decade. Attending the HubSpot Inbound Conference is an exciting and valuable experience, but it also requires careful planning to make the most of your time there!
Whether you're a seasoned conference-goer or a first timer, there’s always a fair amount of preparation that goes into attending. The goal is to show up with the tools and information you need (and with a suitable wardrobe packed) to derive the most benefit from the networking event.
Who better to give advice than mom? We’ve put together 8 tips that an experienced HubSpot mom might give before you head off to the conference so you can make the most of your experience (there she is below at Inbound 2022!).
1. Download the INBOUND App
First things first, download the HubSpot INBOUND app! This app is a must-have for conference attendees as it allows you to easily book your sessions, access maps and schedules, and stay up to date on all conference information. Be sure to sign up for sessions ASAP so you don't miss out - they will fill up!
2. Dress Accordingly
When it comes to dressing for the conference, comfort is key! Be sure to wear comfortable footwear and dress in layers so that you can easily adjust to the temperature throughout the day. You'll likely be away from your hotel room for long stretches of time, and will be spending time inside, outside, seated, and standing so it's important to be comfortable.
3. Pack Snacks and Stay Hydrated
To keep your energy up throughout the day, be sure to bring snacks and drinks with you. This will help to stave off hunger and keep you satisfied until lunchtime. 4. Bring a Backpack
When it comes to carrying your belongings, opt for a laptop backpack over a briefcase. A backpack will distribute the weight more evenly and keep you comfortable as you navigate the conference and perhaps even head out to happy hour afterward! 😊
5. Don’t Forget: Set Your Automatic OOO Replies
Make sure to set up your out-of-office message before you leave for the conference and let your team know that you will be unavailable while you are there. Assure them that you will catch up on correspondence once the sessions are over.
6. Utilize the Shuttle Service
Take advantage of the shuttles that run between the partner hotels and the conference venue. This will save you time and make getting to and from the conference easier.
7. Plan Time Accordingly to Explore and Connect
While at the conference, be sure to check out the vendor floor and any special interactive displays. These areas can provide valuable networking opportunities and insights into the latest trends in your industry. Take advantage of the fun stuff too!

8. Remember to Take Lots of Pictures, Sweetie!
Lastly, don't forget to document your experience! Take photos throughout the conference - whether they be selfies, group photos, or pictures of interesting exhibits. These photos will help you remember the experience and can be shared with your colleagues back home or on LinkedIn!
